Cognitive performance in older women relative to ApoE-[epsilon]4 genotype and aerobic fitness
Article Abstract:
A study was conducted to determine whether Apolipoprotein E genotype and aerobic fitness interact to influence memory performance and executive functioning and to examine the interactive measures of cognition. It was found that aerobic fitness is definitely associated with the memory performance of those individuals at most genetic risk for Alzheimer disease.

Reliability of submaximal exercise tests in patients with COPD
Article Abstract:
A study comparing the reproducibility of submaximal exercise responses of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) patients showed that submaximal exercise responses were reliable over a 1-month-period, and measures of the physiological and psychophysical responses of COPD patients were as reliable as those of healthy subjects.

Fluid intelligence in an older COPD sample after short- or long-term exercise
Article Abstract:
Research shows that in chronic obstructive pulmonary disease patients, aerobic fitness exercise result in gains in fluid intelligence over 3 and 18 months of training. Data further indicate that gains in cognitive performance is more predictable after 3-month exercise program than after 18 months.
